- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions; drain.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft.
- Add ground beef and sausage; cook until browned.
- Stir in marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Combine cooked pasta with the meat sauce.
- Spread half of the pasta mixture in a baking dish.
- Layer half of the mozzarella cheese over the pasta.
- Add the remaining pasta, then top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the meat with vegetables.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
- Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
