Ingredients

- 2 pounds of Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Fresh chives for garnish
Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh chives.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cheese when mashing.
- You can use other potato varieties if preferred.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
