A delicious recipe for melt in your mouth Georgia toffee.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Cook without stirring until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and pecans.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly. Allow to cool completely.
- Break into pieces and serve.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be made ahead of time.
- For a variation, add sea salt on top of the chocolate.
