Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil. Cook without stirring until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and pecans.
  5. Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate evenly. Allow to cool completely.
  8. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes
