A guide to preparing meats for Thanksgiving dinner.
Ingredients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Ham – 1 spiral-cut (8-10 lbs)
- Beef roast – 1 (3-4 lbs)
- Chicken – 1 whole (3-4 lbs)
- Seasoning rub – 1/4 cup
- Olive oil – 1/4 cup
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Herbs (thyme, rosemary) – 2 tbsp each
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with olive oil and seasoning.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cook for 3-4 hours.
- Prepare the ham by glazing it with honey and brown sugar.
- Cook the ham for 1.5-2 hours.
- Season the beef roast and sear it in a skillet.
- Transfer the roast to the oven and cook for 1.5-2 hours.
- Roast the chicken with herbs for 1.5 hours.
- Let all meats rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
- Allow meats to rest for better flavor.
- Adjust cooking times based on meat size.
