Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Heat milk and butter until warm; add to dry ingredients.
  3. Add egg and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  5. Let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar and pecans.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into pieces.
  9. Place in a greased baking dish.
  10. Pour maple syrup over the buns.
  11. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
  12. Let cool slightly before serving.
