Ingredients

- 1 cup maple syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup chopped cooked bacon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, sugar, cream, and butter.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture reaches a boil.
- Continue boiling until it reaches soft ball stage (about 235°F).
- Remove from heat and stir in bacon, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour into the prepared dish and let cool.
- Cut into squares once set.
