Delicious Malaysian cookies for Chinese New Year celebrations.
Ingredients

- 200g all-purpose flour
- 100g sugar
- 100g butter
- 1 egg
- 50g ground almonds
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Sesame seeds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, ground almonds, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Mix until a dough forms.
- Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking tray.
- Press a sesame seed on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- They can be made a week in advance.
