Delicious Malaysian cookies for Chinese New Year celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 50g ground almonds
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
  3. Add the egg and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, ground almonds, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Mix until a dough forms.
  7. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking tray.
  8. Press a sesame seed on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
  10. Let cool before serving.
