Description
A classic dessert from Magnolia Bakery, this banana pudding features layers of creamy vanilla pudding, fresh bananas, and crunchy vanilla wafers.

- 4 ripe bananas
- 1 box vanilla wafers (about 12 oz)
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture gently.
- In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding mixture. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining whipped cream and crushed vanilla wafers.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for best flavor.
- Can be prepared a day in advance.
