Description
Maggiano’s style lasagna is a rich and hearty Italian dish featuring layers of pasta, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella.

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the meat mixture and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish.
- Add a layer of noodles, followed by a layer of the ricotta mixture, and a layer of mozzarella.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit meat and add vegetables.
- You can prepare this dish a day in advance and refrigerate before baking.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
