Description
A refreshing Italian lemon liqueur made from lemon zest, sugar, and alcohol.
Ingredients

- 10 lemons, zested
- 750 ml vodka
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Wash the lemons thoroughly.
- Use a vegetable peeler to zest the lemons, avoiding the white pith.
- Place the lemon zest in a large jar and pour the vodka over it.
- Seal the jar and let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 1 week.
- After a week, combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves, then cool.
- Strain the lemon vodka mixture and mix it with the sugar syrup.
- Bottle the limoncello and refrigerate before serving.
Notes
- Use organic lemons for better flavor.
- Let the limoncello sit for a few weeks for improved taste.
