Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, melt the butter and mix with sugar.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in lemon zest and lemon juice.
  6. Mix in flour and salt until well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. While brownies are cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and lemon juice.
  10. Spread the glaze over cooled brownies and let it set before cutting.
