Description

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the meat mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  7. Layer 4 noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and a third of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Repeat layers, finishing with noodles and remaining meat sauce.
  9. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Use no-boil lasagna noodles for easier preparation.
