Classic lasagna with layers of pasta, meat, cheese, and sauce.
Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the meat mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 4 noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and a third of the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Repeat layers, finishing with noodles and remaining meat sauce.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use no-boil lasagna noodles for easier preparation.
- Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
- Let leftovers cool and store in the refrigerator.
