Ingredients

  • Rice cake (tteok) – 500g
  • Beef – 200g
  • Carrots – 1 medium
  • Eggs – 2
  • Spinach – 100g
  • Sesame oil – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 4 cups

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice cake in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Boil the beef and slice it thinly.
  3. Prepare vegetables: julienne carrots, blanch spinach, and beat the eggs.
  4. In a pot, add water and bring to a boil.
  5. Add soaked rice cake and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add beef, carrots, and garlic to the pot.
  7. Season with salt and sesame oil.
  8. Pour in beaten eggs and stir gently.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with spinach.
