A flavorful jerk turkey recipe perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 1 cup jerk marinade
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a bowl, mix the jerk marinade, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and lime juice.
- Rub the mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan.
- Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Cover the turkey with aluminum foil.
- Roast for 2 to 2.5 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Marinate the turkey overnight for deeper flavor.
- Adjust spice level of the marinade as desired.
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
