Description

A rich and savory dip made from caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, salt, and sugar. Cook until caramelized, about 25 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
  4. Stir in caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, thyme, and pepper.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with chips or bread.
