Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté onions, bell pepper, celery, and garlic until soft.
  2. Add chicken and sausage, cooking until browned.
  3. Stir in rice and Cajun seasoning.
  4. Add chicken broth and diced tomatoes, bringing to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Add shrimp and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
