Description

A delightful twist on classic deviled eggs, combining creamy goodness with the zesty kick of jalapenos and crispy bacon.

Ingredients

  • Hard-boiled eggs: 6 large eggs
  • Cream cheese: 4 oz softened
  • Fresh jalapenos: 2 finely chopped
  • Cheddar cheese: 1/2 cup shredded
  • Cooked bacon: 4 slices crumbled
  • Garlic powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with cold water, bringing to a boil, then letting sit covered for 12-15 minutes.
  2. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes, then peel and slice in half lengthwise.
  3. Prepare the jalapenos by washing, slicing in half, removing seeds and membranes, and finely chopping.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine egg yolks, cream cheese, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth.
  5. Fill the egg white halves with the yolk mixture, garnish with paprika and jalapeno slices, and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust spice levels by removing seeds for milder flavor or leaving some in for more heat.
