Description

Tender pulled pork sandwiches made in an Instant Pot.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper.
  2. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the pork on all sides.
  3. Add sliced onion and chicken broth to the pot.
  4. Lock the lid and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes.
  5. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
  6. Remove the pork and shred it with two forks.
  7. Mix the shredded pork with barbecue sauce.
  8. Serve on hamburger buns.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork overnight.
  • Adjust barbecue sauce according to your taste.
  • Serve with coleslaw for added crunch.
