  • Soy sauce: 1/4 cup (about 60 milliliters)
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger: 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Sesame oil: 1 tablespoon (about 15 milliliters)
  • Green onions: 2, sliced (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper: to taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by whisking together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken thighs and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the honey garlic sauce by reserving some marinade and simmering it in a saucepan until it thickens.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
