Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, onion, eggs, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup ketchup. Spread this mixture over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
