Delicious homemade heart-shaped strawberry pop tarts.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup strawberry jam
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in cold water until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and cut into heart shapes.
- Place half of the hearts on a baking sheet.
- Add a spoonful of strawberry jam to the center of each heart.
- Top with another heart shape and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for icing.
- Drizzle icing over cooled pop tarts.
Notes
- Use any fruit jam you like.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
