Homemade eggnog is a creamy and rich holiday drink made with eggs, milk, and spices.

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: 1 cup rum or bourbon
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well blended.
- Slowly add the milk and cream, stirring to combine.
- Mix in the vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- If desired, stir in the rum or bourbon.
- Chill the eggnog in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top.

- Use fresh eggs for best flavor.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum or bourbon.
