  • 1 pie crust
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour.
  3. Pour apple mixture into the pie crust.
  4. In another bowl, mix brown sugar, oats, butter, and flour for the topping.
  5. Spread the topping over the apples.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use tart apples for better flavor.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream.
