- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Roll up the dough and cut into slices.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for frosting. Spread on warm rolls.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- For best results, use room temperature ingredients.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra flavor.
