  • 1 package pie crusts (2 crusts)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out one pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. Fill the crust with the apple mixture and dot with butter.
  5. Cover with the second pie crust, seal edges, and cut slits in the top crust.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
  7. Reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 30 to 35 minutes until apples are soft and crust is golden.
