Description

Heavenly Hazelnut Brownies are a delightful dessert combining rich dark chocolate and crunchy hazelnuts, creating a perfect balance of sweetness and texture.

Ingredients

  • Dark chocolate: 200 grams (about 7 oz), chopped
  • Unsalted butter: 115 grams (1/2 cup), cubed
  • Granulated sugar: 150 grams (3/4 cup)
  • Brown sugar: 100 grams (1/2 cup), packed
  • Eggs: 3 large
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour: 100 grams (3/4 cup)
  • Cocoa powder: 30 grams (1/4 cup), unsweetened
  • Chopped hazelnuts: 100 grams (about 1 cup)
  • Sea salt: 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with butter or cooking spray and line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and sea salt.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar, then add the melted chocolate and butter mixture, whisking until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, folding gently. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Allow brownies to cool completely for cleaner cuts.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For gluten-free brownies, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend.
