Heavenly Hazelnut Brownies are a delightful dessert combining rich dark chocolate and crunchy hazelnuts, creating a perfect balance of sweetness and texture.
Ingredients
- Dark chocolate: 200 grams (about 7 oz), chopped
- Unsalted butter: 115 grams (1/2 cup), cubed
- Granulated sugar: 150 grams (3/4 cup)
- Brown sugar: 100 grams (1/2 cup), packed
- Eggs: 3 large
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour: 100 grams (3/4 cup)
- Cocoa powder: 30 grams (1/4 cup), unsweetened
- Chopped hazelnuts: 100 grams (about 1 cup)
- Sea salt: 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with butter or cooking spray and line it with parchment paper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and sea salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar, then add the melted chocolate and butter mixture, whisking until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, folding gently. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
- Allow brownies to cool completely for cleaner cuts.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For gluten-free brownies, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend.
