Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in milk and vanilla.
- Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to the mixture.
- Divide batter between prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool before removing from pans.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Layer cakes with whipped cream and mixed berries.
- Serve chilled.
