Description

A healthy recipe for chickpea patties made in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the mashed chickpeas.
  4. Mix until well combined.
  5. Form mixture into small patties.
  6. Brush patties with olive oil.
  7. Place patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Remove and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with yogurt or a dipping sauce.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
