Description
A simple recipe for hamburger steaks with onion gravy.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté until soft.
- Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Return patties to the skillet and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with gravy over the patties.

- Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
- Add mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
