Description
This dish features hamburger steak smothered in a rich and creamy onion gravy.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the patties and set aside.
- Add sliced onion to the same pan and sauté until soft.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
- Reduce heat and add heavy cream, mixing well.
- Return the patties to the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with gravy on top.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
