Delicious pretzels stuffed with ham, Swiss cheese, and jalapenos.
Ingredients

- 2 cups warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup diced jalapenos
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into ropes.
- Stuff each rope with ham, Swiss cheese, and jalapenos. Twist and shape into pretzel form.
- Boil water with baking soda. Dip each pretzel in the boiling water for 30 seconds.
- Place pretzels on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Adjust jalapeno amount based on spice preference.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
