Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound dried navy beans
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

Instructions

  1. Rinse and soak the beans overnight.
  2. Drain and place beans in the crockpot.
  3. Add diced ham, onion, garlic, chicken broth, pepper, salt, bay leaf, and thyme.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beans are tender.
  5. Remove bay leaf before serving.
