Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • White icing for decoration
  • Chocolate chips for eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and extracts to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Use a skeleton-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies.
  8. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Let the cookies cool completely.
  10. Decorate with icing and chocolate chips for eyes.
