- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter, add a dollop of cream cheese mixture, then top with remaining batter.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let muffins cool before serving.
Notes
- Store muffins in an airtight container.
- Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds if desired.
