Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill a donut hole pan with the batter.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes.
  8. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze.
  9. Dunk each donut hole in the glaze and place on a wire rack to set.

  • Feel free to add sprinkles on top of the glaze.
