Ingredients
- All-purpose flour: 4 cups (480 g)
- Brown sugar: 1 cup (220 g)
- Honey: 1/2 cup (170 g)
- Baking soda: 1 teaspoon (5 g)
- Ground ginger: 2 teaspoons (4 g)
- Ground cinnamon: 2 teaspoons (4 g)
- Ground cloves: 1 teaspoon (2 g)
- Egg: 1 large
- Powdered sugar: 1 cup (120 g)
- Water: 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
Instructions
- Gather all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well.
- Heat honey until warm, then mix with the dry ingredients and egg to form a dough. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and roll out the chilled dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into shapes.
- Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar with water to create a glaze and decorate cooled cookies.
