A rich and decadent German chocolate pie with layers of chocolate and coconut.
Ingredients

- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, and butter over medium heat.
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and starts to boil.
- Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, stirring until melted.
- Add egg yolks, vanilla, coconut, and pecans. Mix well.
- Pour filling into the pie crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until set.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream for added richness.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
