Instructions

  3. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  7. Stir in the dried fruits, walnuts, orange juice, and rum.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool before serving.
