Delicious fried apple or peach pies made with a flaky crust and sweet filling.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 2 cups apples or peaches, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water, mix until dough forms.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine diced apples or peaches, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles.
- Place filling on one half of each circle, fold, and seal edges.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry pies until golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
