Description
Delicious homemade fresh mint ice cream.
Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat milk, sugar, and mint leaves over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and let mint steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain the mixture to remove mint leaves.
- Add cream and vanilla extract, then mix well.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- If using, fold in chopped chocolate before transferring to a container.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger mint flavor, use more mint leaves.
- Make sure the mixture is very cold before churning.
