Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour and salt until mixture forms a ball.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Spoon batter into a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe rings onto parchment paper and carefully drop into hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze and drizzle over cooled crullers.
Notes
- Ensure oil is hot enough before frying.
- Use a thermometer for accurate temperature.
- You can flavor the glaze with lemon or almond extract.
