Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by patting it dry with paper towels.
- Rub butter all over the turkey and season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with onion, garlic, celery, and carrots.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan.
- Roast in the oven for about 3-4 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Thaw the turkey in the refrigerator 1 day for every 4-5 pounds.
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
