Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup almond paste
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into a tart pan.
- In another bowl, combine almond paste, egg, and vanilla.
- Spread the almond mixture over the crust.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.

- Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
- Serve with coffee or tea for best pairing.
