Delicious eggnog flavored snickerdoodles perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon rum extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar (for rolling)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, and rum extract, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
- Form dough into balls and roll in the sugar mixture.
- Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Can substitute nutmeg with allspice for a different flavor.
