  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Add fresh basil and lemon juice. Blend for a smoother texture if desired.
