Description

A simple and hearty chicken pot pie made in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken, carrots, peas, potatoes, and onion in the slow cooker.
  2. Add chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, thyme, and garlic powder. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, prepare the pie crust according to package instructions.
  5. Transfer the filling to a baking dish and cover with pie crust.
  6. Bake in the oven at 425°F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
