Description

A simple recipe for jello meringue cookies that are light and flavorful.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup jello powder (any flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the jello powder and vanilla extract.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the meringue mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until the cookies are dry and can be easily lifted off the parchment.
  7. Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool inside for an additional hour.
