Easy homemade beefaroni is a comforting pasta dish made with ground beef, tomato sauce, and elbow macaroni.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, and Italian seasoning.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add the elbow macaroni; stir well.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- If desired, sprinkle cheese on top and cover until melted.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- For extra flavor, use beef broth instead of water.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
