Easy discard banana bread recipe using leftover sourdough starter.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, sourdough starter, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Add baking soda and salt. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add flour and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool before slicing.
