Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 3 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp sage
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by washing and patting it dry.
  3. Mix butter, salt, pepper, and sage in a bowl.
  4. Rub the butter mixture under the skin of the turkey.
  5. In a large skillet, sauté onion and celery until soft.
  6. Add bread crumbs and mix well.
  7. Stuff the turkey with the bread crumb mixture.
  8. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth over it.
  9. Roast the turkey for about 3 hours or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  10. In the last 30 minutes, add green beans to the roasting pan.
  11. Let the turkey rest before carving. Serve with cranberry sauce.
